Use this checklist before submission to reduce avoidable delays during editorial screening.

Checklist

Scope and originality

The work fits the journal scope, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under review by another journal.

Ethics approval

Animal, human, owner consent, or institutional approvals are stated clearly with approval numbers where available.

Methods and statistics

Study design, sample size, procedures, statistical tests, software, and assumptions are described with enough detail for assessment.

Declarations

Funding, conflicts of interest, author contributions, acknowledgments, data availability, and consent statements are included.

Figures and tables

Files are named clearly, cited in order, readable, and accompanied by complete legends or titles.

Cover letter

The cover letter explains the contribution, confirms originality, and identifies any related submissions or prior dissemination.

Recommended reporting guidance

  • Randomized or controlled animal studies should report design, allocation, blinding, exclusions, and statistical methods transparently.
  • Diagnostic accuracy studies should describe case definitions, comparator methods, sensitivity, specificity, and uncertainty.
  • Systematic reviews should include search strategy, eligibility criteria, screening process, data extraction, and risk of bias approach.
  • Observational field studies should describe setting, sampling, exposure, outcome definitions, confounders, and missing data handling.

Before production

Title page completeness

Confirm author order, affiliations, ORCID iDs, corresponding-author details, funding, conflicts, ethics statements, and keywords before final submission.

Visual items

Upload graphical abstracts, figure files, tables, and supplementary media with clear labels so the production proof can be assembled without guesswork.

Front matter check
